Decay’s Progress

Xploration date 02/06/2023
Decay manifests itself in many different and insidious forms within the boundries of this old and decaying factory.

Decay. It’s a slow, steady process that creeps in unnoticed, taking hold and gnawing away at everything it touches. It starts small, a tiny imperfection that grows and spreads like a virus, consuming beauty and life in its wake.

I see it all around me, in the crumbling buildings and fading memories of a forgotten past. The once vibrant colors now muted and dull, the once bustling streets now silent and empty. Decay is inevitable, unstoppable, a natural part of life’s cycle.

But it’s not just physical decay that I see, it’s the decay of relationships and trust, of dreams and ambitions. Decay takes many forms, each one more insidious than the last. It’s a reminder of our own mortality, of the fleeting nature of existence.

And yet, there is beauty in decay. It’s a reminder that nothing lasts forever, that even in the darkest moments, there is a glimmer of hope. Decay may be inevitable, but so is renewal. Out of the ashes, new life will emerge, stronger and more resilient than before.

So as I witness the relentless march of decay, I am reminded that it is not the end, but a new beginning. A chance to rebuild, to recreate, to breathe new life into the decaying remnants of what once was. Decay is not the end of the road, but a new path waiting to be explored.
